Ibiza 601

The Ibiza 601 has been developed to meet the needs of boaters who only use the boat for day trips when the weather is nice. The boat is adapted for use in the archipelago where local speed restrictions define the rules for the desired speed potential. Therefore, we have sharpened the properties through solutions and material selection with goal to meet the needs of a user group that primarily wants a simple and affordable boating life with a low threshold for acquisition, use and maintenance.

Development criteria for the Ibiza 601

Core values and characteristics that have been invariable in the development process:

Ibiza 601 HAS TO:

be transported on a trailer after a normal family car
be well protected with rubbing strakes etc.
have room for a large family
have space for a baby carriage
be easy to use
be economical in operation and have an energy-efficient hull
make good use of space
could be used for recreational fishing
have a minimum top speed of 20 knots
able to pull water toys such as tubes, boards, water skis etc.
could lie uncovered without a canopy over time
be simple and affordable to maintain
in addition, we have defined a bunch of "nice to have" functions:

Ibiza 601 should:

have a full-covering canopy with standing height, in the event of a change in weather
could be equipped with an anchor winch
could be equipped with a bow thruster
have both a bathing ladder and a bow ladder
